Having identified the requirement to breed large ponies with horse like movement and ability for national and international competition, this led to the establishment of September Stud.

September Stud was founded in 2003 by Susan Freeth to breed and supply competition ponies for the UK market. It was formed by purchasing the specifically bred competition sports pony Orchard Glasnost.

We breed competition sports ponies by taking the best of proven bloodlines, which incorporates all the abilities of a warmblood, refinement of a thoroughbred, prettiness of the Arabian and the personality of the native pony.

Our aim is to enhance the breed standard to produce the perfect sports pony. Our selection of bloodlines will produce a spectacular sports pony with movement that is correct, rhythmic and elastic with distinct impulsion from the hind quarters.

September Stud sports ponies are ridden by Sarah Cunningham who is a member of the New Zealand National Team. The sport ponies are trained by Marcia Wakeman a member of the Great Britain Working Equitation Team which in 2009 was a bronze medal winner at the European Championships.
